A NOTE ON IMAGE QUALITY
The digitised images on this web site are in low quality GIF format to prevent unauthorised copying and protect the interests of the artist and of subscribers to the limited editions. A further quality limitation arises from the nature of the original artworks. The original paintings, and especially those inspired by the work of J.R.R. Tolkien, are extremely detailed and suffer from the degree of size reduction necessary for publication on the world wide web. Larger images can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnails in the various galleries, but are by no means representative of the detail and quality of the finished reproductions.
